Landon Bartley

Senior Planner for the City of Grand Rapids

Landon Bartley is a senior planner for the City of Grand Rapids, and since mid-2018 has been the City's de facto marijuana manager, with approximately 90% of his day-to-day work having now been diverted to that project. Before marijuana, he worked closely with neighborhood and business groups on outreach efforts regarding planning and development in the city, also focusing on zoning ordinance research, affordable housing efforts, and active transportation issues. He received a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University, and worked in former Governor Granholm's office on economic and land use policy, serving as staff for the Cool Cities Initiative and Land Use Leadership Council in that role.

Anthony Sabatella became involved in the cannabis industry directly in 2017. As a patient and advocate for over a decade, it was his duty to look to provide a streamlined business administration outsourcing solutions to an industry that has been openly discriminated against for nearly a century. From that point on, THC123 was created to provide a third party HR Department for the commercial cannabis industry.

He knows that human resources, compliance, and insurance are some of the last but most important things that you want to think about when it comes to running your cannabis business. Instead of hiring internally full time for a hefty salary, you can look to outsource these functions for pennies on the dollar.

He can help you get set up from the start with time-intensive activities like employee recruitment, time and attendance systems, HR policies and handbook creation, payroll and tax management, and much more.

If the idea of managing payroll and being compliant with federal, state and local taxing entities make you want to re-think your dream of being an entrepreneur, don’t worry. THC123 and America’s Back Office has been doing this line of work for two decades. By making HR less of a burden, they allow you to focus on your marijuana business and your bottom line.

Licenses held: Professional Employer Organization (PEO), Employment Agency Type A, Employment Agent, Life Insurance Producer, Accident & Health Insurance Producer, Property Insurance Producer, Casualty Insurance Producer.
